Real Women, Real Lives

Tailor-made for Women, The Naked Truth is the hit comedy Play from Dave Simpson, the writer of the smash-hit comedy “Girls Night Out” Now on its 10th fantastic tour, this Show has had people on their feet all over the UK.  Set in a village hall pole dancing class (the latest keep-fit craze) ‘The Naked Truth’ is a brilliantly funny bittersweet comedy about sisterhood.

It’s a women thing, as five very different women struggle hilariously to conquer pole dancing for an event to raise awareness and money for a breast cancer charity.
The Naked Truth is a poignant and uplifting comedy, a call to all women, and celebrating strength through adversity.

“There was not a single weak character in the whole production.
I can’t imagine anyone leaving the theatre without a smile
on their face. Brilliant.”   THE CHASE POST

“then there’s that pole dancing finale.  If you loved Calendar Girls and
Stepping Out, then you’re in with a good chance of enjoying The Naked Truth.”
MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS

“Full Monty meets Calendar Girls funfest is a real treat.
It could almost be a sketch show at times.”

“As the story developed, we came to learn the hidden
secret behind each of the characters, touching on cancer,
domestic violence, single parenthood, eating disorders,
loneliness and confidence-building.  One minute the joviality
on stage had people’s tears rolling down their cheeks.”
JERSEY EVENING POST

“It was hard not to get drawn into the climactic performance
though, as the classmates strutted their stuff – and the first
night audience showed their appreciation with a standing
ovation.”  PETERBOROUGH EVENING TELEGRAPH

“In fact there are so many storylines and 18 scenes to get through
that the second half is a friction burn for us all.  There is huge
potential here….and I’m not just talking about the assets of
Ms Riley.”  THE NORTHERN ECHO
